Cloud Dancer: The Lightness of Being

Client: Motorola x Pantone
Where: Global
Agency: MATTER+ENERGY
Year: 2025
Scope: Launch concept, Film, Product photography, Dance vignettes, Making-of

Every brand gets the colour the same morning. One phone gets to live inside it.

Motorola is Pantone’s official smartphone partner, the only phone brand in the room when the Colour of the Year is announced. That is also the trap. The same morning, Cloud Dancer, PANTONE 11-4201, lands on sneakers, lipsticks and packaging at once, and a phone in the new shade becomes one more object on a long list.

The Lightness of Being turns Cloud Dancer from a shade into a sensation. Two dancers move through a studio of sky and drifting veils, and the motorola edge 70 is the one solid thing in the room. The phone is shot like jewellery, with the Swarovski details as main characters.

Editorial stills, tabletop product shots, looping product films, dance vignettes, and a making-of shot as a piece of jewellery itself. Everything released at the reveal on 4 December 2025.
